In January 2023, Jaybirds threw their hat in the ring during the Artist Open Call to be part of the Fort Worth Public Library's Amplify817 family.
After what seemed like an eternity (it was only two months), we were notified that we were selected! What?! This is amazing! But we couldn't tell anyone just yet. You mean we have to keep this to ourselves? Ok, we will put our patience cap back on. Ha!
It was such an honor to be chosen! We finally got to announce it in June 2023 and have been proudly wearing our new badge of honor since then!
If you don't know what it is, Amplify817 is a local organization run by the Fort Worth Public Library who streams music by local artists, commercial-free and hosts free concerts and more! This is one of Fort Worth's way to support the local music community and what a great bunch of folks they are!
